PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall prevention device for platform having a more simple lock mechanism, being produced at lower cost, and excellent in durability.SOLUTION: A first link mechanism part 40 converts linear motion of a drive slider 24 engaged at one end of a first link lever part 43 into oscillation motion of an oscillation end roller 46 at the other end. A second link mechanism part 60 oscillates in linkage with the oscillation end roller 46 at a roller contact surface 64 of a second link lever part 61, and converts the oscillation motion into linear motion of a driven slider 62 coupled to a fall prevention plate 16. In a projection completion state and storage completion state of the fall prevention plate 16, a direction of action force which the roller contact surface 64 pushes the oscillation end roller 46 is above a straight line connecting the oscillation end roller 46 and an oscillation shaft 44 of the first link lever part 43. Therefore, the first link mechanism part 40 does not move by transmission of force from the fall prevention plate 16 side, serving as the lock mechanism.
