摘要：: <p>Absorbent chamois leather-type cloth is produced by pre-treating a fabric or fleece contg at least 35% cotton, coating with a vulcanisable latex compsn foamed to a rigid air bubble latex foam and vulcanising the air bubble latex foam. Novelty consists in leaching the fabric or fleece with an alkaline soln and drying, after pre- treatment but before coating with foam. The cloth can be used for washing windows, tiles, metal surfaces and cars. The coated surface has high absorbency and the non-coated surface can be used as a duster. The amonical leach-treated fibres have optimum behaviour towards the latex foam. Urea addn prevents individual fibre sticking to the foam.</p>
