<p>Pneumatic rubber tire with sulfur vulcanized tread composition containing a dispersion of about 2 to about 15 phr of a particulate polystyrene resin having a softening point in the range of about 90 DEG C to about 120 DEG C. The tread composition provides a special benefit where the discrete particulate polystyrene resin dispersion has a softening point higher than the temperature of the tread under typical surface conditions and lower than the temperature generated at the tread surface under high abrasion conditions.</p>
