摘要：: <p>The cylinders are arranged in 'V' formation with the fuel injection pump (14) located in the space between the two cylinder rows (12, 12). The fuel injector unit consists of groups of double pumps, grouped into blocks of two elements corresponding to half the number of cylinders. The blocks form parallel row to the engine longitudinal axis and are actuated by a cam shaft incorporated in the engine crank case. The spacing (16) between the fuel injection pump groups is so calculated in relationship to the distance between the neighbouring cylinder axis (18) that only four differently bent fuel injector delivery pipes (22-25) are required for engines with 8, 10, 12, 16 or 20 cylinders. The centre of the first double injection pump is set back 5/16th of the distance (18) between the neighbouring cylinders.</p>
