- <p>The torque controller has one of the two halves (1) of the coupling fixed to a flange socket (2) having ball cages (3) cut into one end face. The cages contain steel balls (4) pressed by three steel springs (6) against the prismatic inner face (7) of the hollow shaft (8) passing through the flange socket. The springs are located in blind holes (5) in the rear face of the flange socket. The hollow shaft has a disc at its end which forms the stop for the pressure piece (10) that has three through holes (11) for the springs and three blind holes (12) for pipe (13), fixed to the flange socket and pressure piece to prevent relative motion. A setting ring (14) sits on the pressure piece and can be displaced axially in both direction via a thread.</p>
