摘要：

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption by alternately performing plasma ignition and spark ignition with the ignition plug group of a specific cylinder and those of any other cylinder at every ignition cycle in an igniter utilizing plasma. CONSTITUTION:In a plasma ignition circuit comprising a high voltage generating circuit 11 and a low voltage generating circuit 21 for supplying high voltage via a distributer 14 to sparking plugs 4a-4d of each cylinder, the low voltage generating circuit 21 is constituted by the first and second low voltage generating circuits 21a, 21b comprising DC/DC converters 22a, 22b and condensers C1, C2, etc. Further, a switch controlling circuit 29 is provided for changing a sparking plug group subjected to plasma sparking at each completion of one ignition cycle. And this control circuit 29 alternately selects respective generating circuits 21a, 21b responding to the output of a means 23 for detecting the completion of one sparking cycle (electromagnetic pick up).
