摘要：

PURPOSE:To prevent vibration from being propagated, by forming minute air gap on the surface of a tension arm of a VTR, making the surface coarse, and converting the vibration propagated from a tension band into heat energy. CONSTITUTION:The tension of a tape 7, a damping force of a tension band 8 and an energizing force of a spring 12 are balanced, and when the winding diameter of the tape 7 on a supply reel is changed, the tension arm 10 is rotated and then balanced at the next position. The tension arm 10 is made of stainless steel, the raw material (a) is heat-treated, the chromium carbide deposited to a grain boundary 31 is eluted with a chemical solution to obtain a stainless steel (c) having the air gap 32. Since the vibration due to the friction of the slide surface between a drum 11 and a brake 81 is converted into the heat energy with the air gap 32 on the surface of the tension arm 10, the vibration propagated to the tape is attenuated or eliminated.
