PURPOSE:To shorten time in which shutter release becomes possible and save power consumption by making preliminary rotation control at a speed lower than rated revolutions of a motor, and after attaining to the rated number of revolution, shifting the phase of a vertical synchronizing signal to conform with the phase of rotation of a magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic disk 2 is rotated by a motor 1 and recording current is supplied from a video signal processing circuit 5 to a magnetic heads 3 through a switch 4. A signal (e) due to half pressing of a shutter is supplied to an AND gate 20 and impressed to a control circuit 10 through an OR gate 21, and the motor 1 is made to the state of preliminary rotation due to switching operation. Then, by a release signal (f) of the shutter, a timing control circuit 15 keeps output of the gate 21 to H level, and the motor 1 is controlled to rated number of revolution. At this time, phase of a vertical synchronizing signal from a synchronizing signal generator 14 is shifted by output of a jitter detecting circuit 13 to conform with the phase of rotation of the disk 2, and then the switch 4 is closed. Thus, time in which releasing becomes possible can be shortened, and power consumption can be reduced.
