<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a stable performance even at the time of high speed rewinding by generating a take-up torque which is different in forward and backward rotations by a slide clutch device consisting of upper and lower frictional members for inserting, and holding a motive power side, and a one-way clutch. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 12 is transferred at a constant speed by a capstan 4 and a pinch roller 5, and a slide clutch device 8 is driven by a belt 13 which is extended to a motor pulley 7a. A motive power side pulley 8a of the device 8 is inserted and held by upper and lower frictional members 15, 16 and a pressure welding spring 17, and a one-way clutch is constituted of a clutch plate 19 and a torsion spring 18 for wind-clamping and wind- loosening. The spring 18 is a right hand wind coil, and against the time when the tape 12 is transferred in the forward direction, as for a torque of the time when the tape is transferred by the backward rotation, since a torque by the frictional member 16 is supplied, it becomes larger by that added portion. Accordingly, when a winding radius of a take-up reel turn table becomes larger, a necessary tape tension is obtained by making the torque larger, and even at high speedl rewinding, a stable performance can be obtained.</p>
