- PURPOSE:To allow to easily mass-produce a hollow molded part by a low-cost system by a method wherein a molding process is performed by shifting molds and injecting molten resins. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a movable mold 4 is mated with a sliding mold 3, which is positioned at its lower position by extending a cylinder 9 so as to mold two bisected split bodies 31 and 32 of a hollow molded part by injecting molten resin from an injection machine 11. By separating the movable mold 4 from the sliding mold after the cooling and solidification of the molten resin, the respective split bodies 31 and 32 are left on female mold sides 17 and 16 independently. Secondly, by shifting the sliding mold 3 to its upper position with the contraction of the cylinder 9 and, after that, by shifting the movable mold 4 to the sliding mold 3 side, the mating surfaces 31a and 32a of the respective split bodies 31 and 32 are abutted against with each other. When molten resin is injected from the injection machine 11 under the state just mentioned above, the molten resin is filled in the abutted peripheral edge parts of the respective split bodies 31 and 32. By opening the molds after the resin 34 at the peripheral edge part is cooled and solidified, a hollow molded product is obtained, because the respective split bodies 31 and 32 abutted and welded each other.
