<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the number of moving parts and to improve reliability on a lowering type emergency escape device, by a method wherein through rotation of a dropping member, a lowering type chuter in a container placed during an normal time is suspended downward from an emergency escape part. CONSTITUTION:During a normal time, a dropping member 24 is locked by means of 8 holding pin 32, and a container 22 is placed therein. During emergency escape, with the holding pin 32 pulled, the dropping member 24 is easily rotated toward the sea side under its own weight or by a man power, and the container 22 is thrown out. In this case, with a working cable 33 pulled, an expansion type annular gas chamber body 30 in a container 22 is filled with gas for expansion. The container 22 is pressed from the inside for division into two parts, and is dropped on a sea surface. Simultaneously, a lowering type chuter 23 is also dropped under its own weight, the load causes further rotation of the dropping member 24, and the lowering type chuter 23 is suspended from an emergency escape part for holding. This constitution reduces the number of moving parts, and improves reliability.</p>
