PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition excellent in heat resistance, mechanical strengths, weathering resistance, oil resistance, etc., by mixing a polyphenylene ether resin with a specified polyalkylene terephthalate graft polymer prepared by a macromonomer process. CONSTITUTION:A graft polymer in which the branch component is vinyl polymer segment compatible with a polyphenylene ether resin and the trunk component is a polyalkylene terephthalate is produced by a macromonomer process. the obtained polylkylene terephthalate graft polymer is mixed with a polyphenylene ether resin to obtain the purpose resin composition. In this way, it is possible to easily mix the polyalkylene terephthalate resin difficultly compatible with the polyphenylene ether resin and to obtain a resin composition provided with the merits of both.
