PURPOSE:To perform stable emission at high response frequency by providing at least one filter in a liquid chamber or on the upstream side of the liquid chamber and making the opening cross-sectional area of the flow passage at the part where the flow passage communicates with the liquid chamber equal to or larger than that of an orifice. CONSTITUTION:A head part I consists of a liquid chamber part A and a flow passage part B, and a hole 1 for mounting an ink cartridge part II in a freely detachable manner is provided to the liquid chamber part A and a heat generator 4 for generating air bubbles 3 in a recording medium 2 is provided to the flow passage part B. At least one filter 5 is provided in a liquid chamber or on the upstream side of the liquid chamber to prevent clogging and, by providing the filter so as to separate the same from the flow passage, it is prevented that no ink is sufficiently replenished to the flow passage by the fluid resistance of the filter.
