PURPOSE:To precisely perform pressure difference control by controlling the pressure difference between the engaging chamber and the releasing chamber of a lockup clutch in response to the input torque and the target rotation difference and correcting the output value of a pressure difference control means when the load change rate is large. CONSTITUTION:When the slip state is controlled by the pressure difference control between the engaging chamber and the releasing chamber of a lockup clutch B, the slip control device C of a fluid coupling A controls so that the pressure difference is made the pressure difference value set in response to the input torque to the fluid coupling A detected by a detecting means D and the target rotation difference by a pressure difference control means F. When the fluctuation rate of the load detected by a detecting means E is large, the detected value of the input torque is corrected by a correcting means G to be decreased, for example, and the output value of the pressure difference control means F is corrected. The pressure difference control in response to transfer torque can be precisely performed.
