Hospitals or the like lack washing facilities, in particular for severely bed-ridden patients, which facilities can be transferred to the region around the patient and provide him/her with running water. The invention proposes a mobile washing unit for hospital rooms which essentially comprises a mobile stand carrying a wash-basin, a storage cupboard or the like. The wash-basin is equipped with connecting lines for fresh water and a drainage line for used water.
