PURPOSE:To easily and securely inform the user of the time to replace a ventilator filter by printing on the filter letters, designs, and the like in colors differing from the color of dirt attaching to the filter in such a way as to allow such dirt to make the letters, designs, and the like undiscernible. CONSTITUTION:Letters, designs, and the like 14 are printed all over on the filter element 10 of a ventilating filter 9. The printing is made by using inks available on the market and in colors differing from the color of dirt covering the filter element 10 and from the color of the filter element 10 itself. Oily dirt and the like attach to the ventilator filter indiscriminately between the printed part and unprinted part and gradually make the letters, designs, and the like undiscernible. From this blurring of the letters, designs, and the like the user notices the time to replace the ventilator filter.
