PURPOSE:To achieve a data transmitter with a simple constitution, by forming address and data information with a combination signal of frequencies, and making transmission from a slave to a master device with short-circuit transmission line. CONSTITUTION:Address and data information transmitted from a master to a slave device are formed through the combination of frequencies f1-fm, and the address information has a frequency fA other than the frequencies f1-fm as discrimination from the data information and it is transmitted on a transmission line 3. On the other hand, each slave device is provided with detection circuits 111-11m to detect the presence of the frequencies f1-fm and a detection circuit 21 to detect the frequency fA, and a digital comparator 13 is operated only when an output of the detection circuit 21 is present, and coincidence between the own station address set at switches 121-12m and the address value transmitted from the master device obtained at the detection circuits 111-11m is taken. If they are coincident, a switch 25 short-circuit of transmission line 3 is controlled for on/off control according to the state of a request switch 17.
