摘要：: PURPOSE: To provide a battery powered flush valve capable of restricting waste of electricity by utilizing a latching solenoid. CONSTITUTION: A flush valve 10 is provided with a valve element 12 having an inlet 18 and an outlet 20 and a valve means 30 which is arranged in the valve element and controls the flow of water between the inlet 18 and the outlet 20. Furthermore, the valve 10 is provided with a latching solenoid 44 which is mounted within the valve element 12 and controls the action of the valve means 30, a battery means which is mounted in the valve element 12 and is connected with the solenoid 44 to supply electricity for operating the solenoid 44, and a sensing means which is arranged in the valve element 12 and senses the presence of a user in a toilet device. The sensing means connects the battery means with the solenoid 44 to operate the solenoid and connects the valve means 30 with the inlet 18 and the outlet 20.
