- PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for packing roast beef and a package that can simply and efficiently preserve sliced roast beef and have a visual appeal to the consumers. SOLUTION: The package 1 comprises a tray 11 and an oxygen gas barrier material and includes a baglike vessel 12 wrapping the tray 11 and an oxygen scavenger 13 arranged in the baglike vessel 12. The vessel is replaced its inside space with nitrogen gas and is air-tightly closed by heat-sealing its sealing part 14. Inside the vessel 12, the concentration of the remaining oxygen is maintained to <=0.01% by the replacement of the air in the vessel 12 with nitrogen gas and the oxygen scavenger 13.
