<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storing case for a magnetic tape cassette in which the magnetic tape cassette can be held in a stable manner without being loosened. SOLUTION: This storing case 21 for a magnetic tape cassette is comprised of a storing section 3 for use in storing a magnetic tape cassette; a lid section 5 for covering the storing section 3; a hinge section 7 for connecting the storing section 3 with the lid 5 in such a way that the lid may be opened or closed; and a side wall 13 arranged at an outer circumference of a flat plate 11 constituting the storing section 3. In this case, a rib 14 for holding a wall part between an opening formed at a substantial central part in a longitudinal direction of the magnetic tape cassette and a light source insertion hole so as to restrict a position of the magnetic tape cassette is installed at one location of a flat plate part 11.</p>
