<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video browsing/viewing system that browses a video image at a high speed with excellent efficiency. SOLUTION: A browse control system connects to a video device to extract video structural data from a video sequence 100 and to control the video device so that frames of the video sequence 100 are selected and displayed based on the video structural data extracted from the video sequence 100. The system includes a processor that extracts the video structural data from the video sequence 100, a storage device that stores the video structural data extracted from the video sequence 100 and a user interface that controls the processor so as to select and display frames of the video sequence 100 based on the video structural data.</p>
