- PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a large scale of sintered compact or a sintered material having a relatively small dimensional change during the sintering at a relatively low temperature. SOLUTION: When a powder containing one or more kinds of metal powder and one or more kinds of ceramic powder in an amount of >=70 wt.% in total is heat-treated in a pressurized atmosphere, the volume-expansion caused by reaction between the atmosphere and the metal powder may occur on at least one surface of the compressed powder, and simultaneously the powder is compacted by the plastic deformation of the metal powder on the inner side of the volume expansion areas. This sintered product is particularly suitable for the susceptor 1.
