PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in long-time photographing by providing a power control means restricting power supply by a power source under the condition where a shutter device is locked in an open state. SOLUTION: A shutter locking button 23 is attached freely movably in a back-and-forth direction nearly in parallel with an optical axis at the upper part of the side surface of a camera body. A catch 24 on which a locking pin 38 provided on an armature 37 can abut is provided on the button 23. Since the pin 38 abuts on the catch 24 and a rear curtain locking release lever 35 can not be rotated and moved at a shutter locking position where the button 23 is moved to a subject side, a rear curtain does not travel and an exposure state is maintained. When a given time elapses, a CPU judges a situation as a mechanical bulb state and starts a power saving mode, and unnecessary power consumption is all cut off, for example, the LED for illumination of an LCD within a finder is turned off.
