PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To average and uniformize the positioning error due to the deflection of a ball screw by setting the sum of distance from a ball screw driving unit motor to each nut constant. SOLUTION: Ball screws and nuts 26, 28 are deflected by the dead weight thereof and a load from a table. During variously working work pieces, positioning is repeatedly performed. A position of the maximum deflection of the ball screws 26, 28 is located close to ball screw driving unit motors 38, 40. The degree of deflection is different largely and uneven positioning error is generated according to the positioning of the ball screws 26, 28. Since the ball screw driving unit motors 38, 40 are arranged opposite to each other so that a sum B+D of distances B, D from the ball screw driving unit motors 38, 40 to the ball screw nuts 44, 46 becomes constant, positioning error can be averaged to be even. Consequently, correction of the positioning error is remarkably facilitated.
