- PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submerge sensor for highly precisely detecting the submerge of the nose and mouth of a bather and an economically excellent drowning detecting device during bathing which can be used in an existing bath room in a house for quickly discovering drowning in a bath tub during bathing without requiring operation by the bather. SOLUTION: This drowning detecting device 4 during bathing is provided with a submerge sensor 1 which can be mounted on a human body for detecting whether or not the prescribed site of a human body is submerged when the submerge sensor is mounted on the human body, and it is desired that the submerge sensor 1 is formed like a pendant type which can be mounted on the neck of the human body. This device 4 is provided with the submerge sensor 1, a drowning judging means 1d for judging drowning in a bath tub 3 of a bather 2 based on the detected result of the submerge sensor 1, and an emergency information outputting means 5 for outputting emergency information based on the judged result of the drowning judging means 1d.
