PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure adhesive strength of a laminated building material without breaking the building material. SOLUTION: The apex side of a displacement member 2 of a gauge 1 is fixed on a fitting member 7 on the back face of a suction member 8 sucking on the surface of a building material being an article to be measured by a negative pressure. A handle 13 is provided on a gauge main body 4. The suction member 8 is made to suck the surface of the building material and then, the handle 13 is gripped to pull the suction member 8 so as to separate it from the surface of the building material. The tensile force is read by the gauge 1 to measure the adhesive strength.
