[Also in Divisions H2 and H3] A pressure seam-welding apparatus for welding seams in a continuous procession of cans, such as 28-30, at a rate in the order of 100 linear feet per second comprises circuit means (Divisions H2, and H3) for producing square flat-topped welding current pulses of 10,000 amperes amplitude and 500 cycles per second repetition rate, the circuit including various capacitive, inductive and resistive elements whereby to provide the pulses with steep fronts thus ensuring a continuous weld of acceptable quality.</p>
