摘要：: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape in which time to specify the position of a head is reduced and to provide a manufacturing method of the magnetic tape, a servo writer and a method and a device to identify a servo band. SOLUTION: On a magnetic tape MT, servo signals S1 to S5, which are used to conduct tracking control of a head unit 31, are written on a plurality of servo bands SB1 to SB5. Among the plurality of servo bands SB1 to SB5, servo signals S1, S2 and S5 having a polarity that is directed toward one direction along a tape longitudinal direction are written on the servo bands SB1, SB2 and SB5 and servo signals S3 and S4 having a polarity that is directed toward the other direction along the tape longitudinal direction are written on the servo bands SB3 and SB4 that are other than the servo bands SB1, SB2 and SB5.
