PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine which equally and efficiently removes pollens from garments. SOLUTION: The washing and drying machine comprises: a rotary vane 8 formed rotatably at the bottom of an inner tub 5 into which the garments are thrown; a motor 11 for driving the rotary vane 8; a heater 13 for heating air made to blow into the inner tub 5 by a blowing fan 12; a pollen catching filter 15 arranged on the upstream side of the blowing fan 12 for catching pollens; and a course for continuously repeating a first sequence for rotate-driving the rotary vane 8 varying the number of rotations to a first target number of rotations and a second target number of rotations in the same rotation direction by the motor 11 while blowing by the fan 12 and a second sequence for continuously repeating right/left same inversion by the same number of rotations. Thus, the machine not only catches the pollens blown up by the fan 12 with the filter 15 but also eliminates the pollens efficiently from the garments by the rotation of the rotary vane 8 driven repeatedly by the first and second sequences.
