PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which prevents ejection failure called wet non-ejection caused by the ink droplets remaining after wiping when a recording head has a long size or the water repellency on ink ejection port forming surface deteriorates after a long of use. SOLUTION: The surrounding of the ink ejection port forming surface 22Ks of the recording head 22K except an ink ejection port 305 is covered with an ink transfer member 404 having a capillary force and an ink holding member 405 to absorb the surplus ink droplets left on the ink ejection port forming surface 22Ks, and further to suck and retain the ink, thereby diffusing and removing the stuck ink droplets to prevent non-ejection or the like.
