An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a driving method thereof are provided to improve an aperture ratio of the LCD by forming adjacent pixels to share one data line. A plurality of gate lines(311n,311n-1) are arranged on a first substrate in a first direction. A plurality of storage lines(312n,312n-1) are arranged in the first direction in parallel with the gate lines. A plurality of data lines(313m) are arranged in a second direction to define a plurality of pixels together with the gate lines and the storage lines, and share adjacent first and second pixels. A first switching device(TR1) switches the first pixel. A second switching device(TR2) switches the second pixel. A liquid crystal layer is formed between the first and second substrates. The first switching device includes first and second gate electrodes(314a,314b) extending from the gate line, semiconductor layers(315,325) formed under the first and second gate electrodes, and source drains(316a,326a)/drain electrodes(316b,326b) formed on the semiconductor layer.
