PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain automatization of die set replacement without needing the cutting-off or connecting work of wiring and piping performed manually heretofore. SOLUTION: A forging apparatus 10 is provided with: a remote transmission mechanism 36 which has a transmission part 38 set at one end part of a feed-bar 22a and supplied with a signal from a detecting sensor 28 and has an output part 44 disposed in and not contacted with a feed-bar attaching/detaching part 30 in a transfer mechanism 24 provided at an apparatus body side and supplied with an electric source signal from an external electric source; and a hydraulic coupling 58 which has a socket 60 arranged in a first block body 56 connected with a press ram 13 and has a plug 64 arranged on a second block body 62 connected with an upper die holder 18 fixed to the press ram 13.
