The groove may be accessible by means of port 39 so that sealant, e.g. an organo siloxane elastomer may be injected therein. Opposing side walls of the chamber may be inclined, e.g. at 10 degrees, towards each other. There may be more than one access port. The base-plate may be a microscope slide.</p>
