- PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external conductor terminal and a shield connector, capable of improving fixing strength with an electric wire having a braided wire without adversely affecting a lower layer of the braided wire when the electric wire having the braided wire like an insulation body of a coaxial wire is connected to the external conductor terminal. SOLUTION: In an external conductor terminal provided with a mesh-like knurling groove 4 on an inner surface side of a braided wire crimping part 31 of a wire barrel 3, the external conductor terminal 1 (a shield terminal for a coaxial wire) is structured by matching a mesh angle of the knurling groove 4 to a braided angle of a strand of a braided wire 14 of a coaxial wire 10.
