- A method for establishing a communication network connection of a portable terminal and the portable terminal in which the function is mounted are provided to enable a user to establish the communication network connection of a portable terminal by using a remote computer. A portable terminal comprises a master mode stage for providing a communication network connection setup and a managed mode stage for providing the original function of the terminal. The master mode stage comprises a DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server module(34), an HTTP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) service start module(32), an HTML(Hypertext Markup Language) parsing process module(33) and a master mode process module(31). The master mode process module sets up a communication network connection setup items, interpreted by the HTML parsing process module, as a connection configuration file, and then applies it to the portable terminal.
