A cathode assembly for electron-beam equipment relates to electronic engineering, to hot filaments for electron-beam equipment. The cathode assembly consists ofa frame formed of electric insulating material, a filament secured by holders which are fixed to the frame, a thermoelectronic emitter tightened in the filament center combined with the cathode assembly axis, and pins, each of which is secured by one end to the frame top, by the other end – to the emitter, pins are made of two portion of heat-proof wire and located in flat being perpendicular to flat in which filament is located in such a way that form a sharp angle bisecting line of which is congruent with axis of the cathode assembly. Beams are intersected its basis; at the ends, the said sections are secured to the emitter in two diametrically opposite points equally-spaced from center of the filament. In the declared cathode assembly, stability of electron-beam emitter location is provided due to construction durability.
