- PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical nonaqueous electrolyte for a secondary battery capable of maintaining a low internal resistance and a high electric capacity for a long period, and containing an additive capable of obtaining effectively an effect at a small addition quantity, and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the nonaqueous electrolyte. SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte for the secondary battery contains a nonaromatic linear carbonate compound having a 1-ethynyl ethyl group in a molecule, in a nonaqueous electrolyte dissolved with an electrolyte salt in an organic solvent.
