PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency multiplication circuit which can obtain a suitable oscillation amplitude without depending upon the magnitude of an input amplitude, reduces current consumption and is simplified in constitution. SOLUTION: A frequency multiplication circuit is comprised of: current control elements 23, 24 for individually controlling oscillation currents that flow to at least either of a PMOSFET 21 and a NMOSFET 22 of a CMOS inverter; capacitors 10, 11 for making only an AC component of the oscillation current pass; and an adding means for adding AC signals passing through the capacitors 10, 11 and outputting a multiplication signal. Since the adding means is offset by a reference voltage together with the current control elements 23, 24, the current to flow to each FET of the CMOS inverter can be arbitrarily limited and a suitable oscillation amplitude that does not depend upon the magnitude of an input amplitude can be obtained.
