PURPOSE: A device for connecting a superconducting cable is provided to make the cover of a low temperature maintaining device in a geometrical shape, thereby forming a cylindrical section. CONSTITUTION: A duct(D) includes an electric conductor(5) surrounded by a thermal insulator. A superconducting cable(1) supplies a coolant by using a pipe type low temperature maintaining device(KR). The conductor of the superconducting cable is connected to one end of the conductor of the duct. An electrode(4) controls an electric field system in an end of the superconducting cable. A layer(3) is made of a thermal insulator and is placed on the outside of a pipe.
