- <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage detection device for a fuel cell, which can measure a cell voltage even if fuel is not supplied in a cell. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of cells is divided into five blocks, a first block to a fifth block, and an IC for voltage detection is provided to each block. Each IC for voltage detection operates by supplying power from a cell voltage in each connected block, and one of the ICs for voltage detection (21-1) activates by supplying power from a DC/DC converter 42. Therefore, even if a cell voltage drops for such a reason that fuel is not supplied in a cell, the IC for voltage detection (21-1) enables detecting a cell voltage. If a cell voltage detected by the IC for voltage detection (21-1) exceeds a threshold voltage, other ICs for voltage detection start voltage detection.
