The present invention pertains to a round recliner for a vehicle seat, which includes: a holder; a sector gear coupled with the holder and formed with inner teeth along the inner peripheral surface thereof; N number of lock gears reciprocating between locking positions at which outer teeth are engaged with the inner teeth and unlocking positions at which the outer teeth are withdrawn from the inner teeth; and an operation means for moving the N number of lock gears to the locking positions and the unlocking positions. The holder has N number of lock gear guides for guiding the lock gears, so that the respective lock gears reciprocatingly slide between the locking positions and the unlocking positions with a predetermined operation clearance along curved guide surfaces, which have predetermined centers of rotation. Among them, the curved guide surfaces of N-1 number of rock gear guides have the centers of rotation, which allow the outer teeth to be completely engaged with the inner teeth of the sector gear at the locking positions. Meanwhile, the other one curved guide surface has a displaced center of rotation, so that the outer teeth is engaged with the inner teeth of the sector gear only at one teeth surfaces at the locking position. Therefore, it is possible to provide a round recliner for a vehicle seat, wherein the rattling of a seat back may be prevented even though the operation clearance exists between the lock gears and the lock gear guides, and external shock may be coped with.
