<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for an organic electroluminescence display device which includes a white compensating color layer (white pixels) capable of coping with a white color having a higher color temperature of 6500 or higher, in particular 9000K or higher, and to provide a color filter for an organic electroluminescence display device which substantially equalizes a white chromaticity at the time of lighting RGB pixels and a white chromaticity at the time of lighting only separately provided white pixels (W pixels). <P>SOLUTION: A white compensating color layer W is configured so as to contain a violet color material. The color filter is configured so as to meet a prescribed relational expression between a white chromaticity (vw,yw) of light emitted by lighting light-emitting light sources of white light-emitting layers respectively corresponding to a red color layer R, a green color layer G, and a blue color layer B being pixel parts and transmitted through the white compensating color layer W being pixel parts and a combined white chromaticity (xrgb,yrgb) of light obtained by separating the emitted light into spectral components by the red color layer R, the green color layer G, and the blue color layer B being the pixel parts and then combining them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
