PURPOSE: An active carbon regeneration apparatus is provided to remove sulfur oxide from active carbon in which sulfur oxide is absorbed and to enhance absorption efficiency of sulfur oxide from active carbon. CONSTITUTION: An active carbon regeneration apparatus (100) comprises a heating portion (120); a spray part (140) and a cooling part (150). The heating portion heats active carbon (10) in which sulfur oxide is absorbed and removes sulfur oxide from active carbon. The spray part sprays basic materials (20) and coats the surface of the active carbon in which sulfur oxide is removed with basic materials. The cooling part cools the active carbon on which basic material is coated.
