<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair capable of facilitating fitting work of an edge material to a locking groove of a base side and reliably preventing the edge material from being fallen from the locking groove.SOLUTION: An edge material 20 includes: a first contact part 24 that comes into contact with an end edge of a locking groove 15 a little to an outer peripheral edge part of a back plate 11; and a second contact part 25 that, when the edge material 20 receives tension of an upholstery material 13 and rotationally turns, with the first contact part 24 used as a fulcrum, comes into contact with the inside face of the locking groove 15 a little to the inside of the back plate 11. A fitting hole 21 is provided at an area of the edge material 20 to be inserted in the locking groove 15, and a protrusion part 22 being fittable into a fitting hole 21 is provided on an inside face of the locking groove 15 a little to the inside. The second contact part 25 side of the edge material 20 is erected and inserted into the locking groove 15. The edge material 20 is rotationally turned by receiving the tension from the upholstery material 13 and the protrusion part 22 is fitted in the fitting hole 21, so that the edge material 20 is prevented from falling from the locking groove 15.</p>
