- The present invention relates to an oil skimmer having increased collection capacity and collection efficiency. The oil skimmer having increased collection capacity and collection efficiency comprises: a body to move on a water surface on which oil, a dangerous harmful material, or a floating substance floats while being partially immersed; and a drum to rotate when the body moves, and collect the oil, the dangerous harmful material, or the floating substance into a storage unit disposed on the body. The drum comprises: a rotary shaft rotatably mounted on the body in a direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the body; and a plurality of disks installed above the outer circumferential surface of the rotary shaft in a perpendicular direction to the rotary shaft along the longitudinal direction of the rotary shaft and separated from the rotary shaft by a prescribed separation distance.
