- PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an irregular shaped DVA inner-liner that provides improved barrier properties, has maintained or improved mechanical properties, and has a uniform gauge in a final cured tire.SOLUTION: This disclosure is directed to a tire inner-liner comprising a dynamically vulcanized alloy of an elastomer and an engineering resin. The inner-liner is an irregular shaped form. The disclosure further relates to a method of manufacturing such inner-liners and tires manufactured from such inner-liners.
