- The present invention relates to a signature searching device based on a sub pattern capable of reducing a necessary memory use amount and a method thereof. The signature searching device comprises: a sub pattern extracting unit (11) which extracts at least one sub pattern to be included in each signature and generates a sub pattern table; and a sub pattern based map producing module (10) with a pattern interpreting unit (12) which generates a multi pattern search map by using the extracted sub pattern and generates a signature state table.
