The stereophonic loudspeaker unit is for use in road vehicles, with both speaker components attached to a single unit, and directed towards one another, so that when the listener sits in the vehicle seat they are adjacent to his ears. The unit is mounted on the seat head rest, and has a height adjustment facility to suit different listeners. - The speakers can be cast into the self-supporting unit directly. They have an overload protection to prevent ear damage, and if required can be supplied with differential mounting arrangements arrangements.
