PURPOSE:To improve high color developing and preservable properties, especially lightfastness and anti-formalin property by incorporating a magenta coupler which is substituted with a specific substituent at 6-position of 1H-pyrazolo(5,1- c)-1,2,4-triazole type magenta coupler to a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The magenta coupler which is substituted with the substituent group shown by formula (I) at 6-position of the 1H-pyrazolo(5,1-c)-1,2,4-triazole type magenta coupler shown by formula (II) is incorporated in at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layer. In the formulas, Y is oxygen, sulfur or SO2 group, R1 is a substituent group, (n) is an integer of 0-5, R2 is hydrogen atom or a substituent group, X is hydrogen atom or a group capable of releasing by coupling reaction with an oxidant of a color developing agent. Thus, the silver halide color photographic sensitive material having good lightfastness and anti-formalin property and high color developing property is obtd.
