PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for guides for positioning by disposing one group of two groups of optical fibers which are in tight contact with each other on side faces movably by the diameter of the optical fibers on the other end face of a near parabolic lens which is formed with a total reflection surface at one end face and has a length of 1/4 wavelength. CONSTITUTION:Optical fibers 1-4 and 5, 6 are in contact with each other on side faces and are arranged respectively rectilinear. The fibers 1-4 are fixed, and the fibers 5, 6 are movable by driving means such as electromagnets, piezoelectric elements or the like. After the ray from the fiber 6 is made into parallel beams in a near parabolic lens 7, the beams are reflected by a total reflection surface 8 and converge at the end face of the fiber 2. Similarly, the ray from the fiber 5 enters the fiber 3. On the other hand, when the fibers 5, 6 are moved by the diameter of the optical fibers by driving means, the rays from the fibers 5, 6 are made incident to the fibers 2, 1 respectively. Since the fibers 5, 6 are positioned by contact with the fibers 1-4, the need for guides for positioning is eliminated.
